Some only have their frames made of wood and are finished with hand-assembled joints with canvas stretched over the frame. These are typically classic models of planes from the early 20th century. Usually, these models will have hand-painted decorations on the wings, fuselage, and other parts. Just wiping them with a dry cloth is usually all that’s needed to get them looking like new.
 
Plastic models usually require the least maintenance. They are decked with accurate liveries with a great level of detail. Just remember that with plastic models you need to keep them in a protected display area and out of direct sunlight.
